New Cruise Sailings to the Emirates

MSC Announces New Cruise Service

To the United Arab Emirates

With the introduction of Abu Dhabi and the Emirates as a new destination for the 2011-2012 winter season, MSC Cruises is introducing a range of new shore excursions, “for guests to experience the very best of this enchanting region.”

The MSC Lirica (click to see video tour) will be sailing eight-day/seven-night cruises from Abu Dhabi, departing every Sunday beginning Oct. 30 2011, through March 4, 2012 and alternatively from Dubai every Friday from Oct. 28 2011, to March 9, 2012. By the way, MSC is also offering a fantastic 16 Night Genoa to Abu Dhabi SUEZ CANAL repositioning cruise October 14-30th, with truly fantastic rates. (See more below).

On her new Seven Night voyages she will be calling on the ports of Khasab and Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman as well as Al Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, and with overnights in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Guests on the Lirica will be able to sample some of the region’s most impressive attractions thanks to a comprehensive range of excursions, according to a press release from the cruise line.

MSC says that they will be the only cruise line to call at Khasab (on a regular basis), offering access to what it called a little-known paradise. Dubbed the “Norway of Arabia” for its rugged coastline, the area boasts fjord-like inlets dotted

Another of their port stops offers a wide choice of outings is available from Muscat, there is dolphin-watching and “dune bashing” in the Wahiba Sands wilderness, or you could take in a private dhow cruise and visit the breathtaking views and architectural majesty of various castles and mosques.

From Al Fujairah, guests can choose between a desert discovery trip, a scenic and cultural tour of the coast or a half-day of relaxation on the beach between the Hajar Mountains and the warm waters of the gulf.

Abu Dhabi, has some truly unique experiences awaiting guests, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the Yas Marina Formula 1 Circuit and a trip to the brand new Ferrari World Theme Park, where visitors can ride the world’s fastest roller-coaster. For a change of pace, there is also a visit to the oasis town of Al Ain, known as the “Garden City” for its lush greenery, a face-to-face encounter with majestic birds of prey at the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital or the chance to enjoy afternoon tea at the Emirates Palace.

From the world’s tallest building and a seven-star hotel to a man-made island in the shape of a palm tree, Dubai offers visitors an amazing choice of spectacular modern landmarks to visit. Additionally, guests of MSC can enjoy much more, like shopping in an exclusive traditional souk, or you might choose swimming with dolphins, or taking a romantic sunset cruise in a dhow.

This certainly seems to us that MSC Cruises is offering guests a truly unforgettable Arabian adventures. By the way, if you are thinking about the October 14th repositioning sailing, better act fast as the ship is nearly filled. With pricing starting at only $999pp (that’s right) $63 per night for this cruise is unreal. Also, MSC is offering fantastic 2 for 1 rates on their eight night voyages to the Emirates. So hurry, before your space is filled.

This is by far one of the majestic places on Earth. I’ve travelled most of this globe, and I’ve seen nothing similar to it. In my opinion, everyone should at least travel this region 2 times in their life’s adventures. See ya’ soon, I hope!
