Alaksa appears to be an interesting place to visit. What is the Best Time to Go?

    • Dear Eye on The World,
Well as with most situations, it depends…………What I mean by that is that “if” you are cruising with Children most folks opt to sail while school is out. It is IMPORTANT TO KEEP IN MIND, that all travel means (Airlines, Cruiselines, Hotels, etc) charge PREMIUM PRICES WHENEVER THE KIDS ARE OUT OF SCHOOL, This is during the Holiday and Spring Breaks as well. But “if” there are no children in the picture, generally the best prices are available during the colder beginning of the Alaska Cruise Season (May-first week in June), and at the end of the Alaska Season which is (last of Aug to Sept) which is much better temperature wise, and you can get some pretty good deals as the season is winding down. BUT!!! you need to make your plans and book early, because if you wait for “wave season” sale to book your cruise (Jan-Mar), the Cruise Ships have mostly sold out by Christmas and New Years the year before the cruise. Hope this is helpful!-CruisewithMike

I wanted to follow up and let you know how happy I was in discovering your web blog today. I would consider it an honor to do things at my office and be able to make use of the tips shared on your web site and also take part in visitors’ remarks like this. Should a position connected with guest writer become offered at your end, make sure you let me know.

    • Dear Family Vacation Plans,
